Once again the Mercedes-Benz S Class was fitted with a full 5 metres of fairy lights, every fathomable sports item was crammed into the back and Geoff himself was sporting a brand new Sailing Rugby top ready for the PLAYOFFS.
After a brief foray through your questions about the Geoff cars so far (video to follow) and the usual Geoff banter and beverages, we got down to business.
First up was the headline act, the Audi A8 3.7 V8 vs the BMW 728i Sport. This was always going to be an important showdown, the two bavarians squaring up to each other and as the Etsy store closed the BMW was sitting on a popularity rating of 60% compared to just 21% for the Audi. The late entrant Volvo 940 aka ‘Trina’ languished with just 19% of the vote.
As the night came together the anticipation built, until the name called out of the hat was yet another Chris! To everyone’s surprise, it was the Audi that took his fancy, so the BMW was immediately taken outside and shot. The hotly anticipated 2nd place award went to Wulie from Scotland, not Wile E. Coyote from cartoons.
Straight after the Playoffs 1 we rolled into the Playoffs 2, which saw Trina the Volvo taking on a rusty and dented Subaru Impreza. This was more of a walkover, and Frazer from Scotland walked away with Trina. Well, drove, or he will do, as soon as he’s sorted out a train ticket.
After some more General Banter it was time for Iron Man and Iron Geoff to switch off the fairy lights and say goodnight, three cars, thirty quid and just two beverages this time. An early night was enjoyed by all, with the live feed ending at the astonishing time of 10.30pm… especially considering an average Geoff night ends at 11.30pm. Thanks everyone, see you next time!
