The deckchairs are packed, the roofbox is loaded (because you’ve spent the morning desperately trying to get the close it and can’t quite get the inflatable crocodile to deflate properly), the bike rack is strapped on precariously, the motorway is chock full of idiots towing caravans, the kids are moaning, the wife is sarcastic, the accommodation is ludicrously expensive and there’s no parking anywhere within 3 miles of a beach! PERFECT!

The date has now been moved forward from August 8th to August 1st, mostly because I thought the first weekend in August was a Bank Holiday. It should be, but apparently it’s not, and as it’s just been payday, it makes sense to roll the event forward. So here’s the skinny, the lowdown, the lochdown, the 411, the craic…

We have a rare BMW E38 7 Series diecast, a Pilot Ford Escort Cosworth Rally car, Pilot Renault Clio Ph1 Rally Car, a Saab 9-5 Estate, a Saab 9-3 Hatch and the actual Mazda MX5 from the Mercedes-Benz SLK video, complete with front wing damage when it rolled down the door of the SLK and onto the floor at the end of the video. These all come with a selection of Geoff stickers and whatever else is in the Geoff Box of magnets and postcards and maybe some sweets, who knows? I don’t.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT’S ALL OVER?
