2000 Saab 9-5 Aero
119,000 miles (ish), MOT until January 5th 2023
My Saab 9-5 1.9 TiD Estate has been for sale on Facebook Marketplace, when a message came through from a gentleman looking for a larger, cheap to run alternative to his current Saab. As the 9-5 TiD (with manual gearbox) would average closer to 45mpg, it seemed a much better financial choice than a 20mpg average Saab 9-5 Aero pushing almost 280bhp.
We came up with a deal that worked for both of us, and Gunnar the diesel Saab drove away leaving me with this rather tasty Silver over Beige 9-5 Aero!
What I really like about this car is the nod to the heritage of Geoff Buys Cars. Looking back to the early days of Geoff, the blue 9-5 Aero was a key character in getting the YouTube channel off the ground. It’s great to have another early 9-5 Aero in my possession.
The Silver over Beige colour scheme works a treat, it’s a lovely car inside and out and comes with extensive paperwork… More on that soon!
