1996 Volvo 850 2.0 10v Auto, SE spec so heated seats and a sunroof. Turquoise Pearl Metallic with Beige Half Leather
2.0 petrol automatic, MOT until May 2024. Mileage shows 85,000 but like all good Volvo 850s it stopped working a couple of years ago. No reason to believe it’s moon mileage though, very genuine seller who says…
“Bought a as a reliable stop gap car 6 years ago but we were unable to fault it’s reliability. It has the winter pack and a sunroof, first thing I did was a full PCV system replacement using genuine Volvo parts and a full service. It has nivomat rear shocks and a genuine Volvo dog guard, although the dog guard needs new dampers (Geoff says – easy fix, they flip up and down on a little ram). Dash top has slightly listed on the side of the heater vent (Geoff says – show me an 850 that hasn’t).
This is not a neglected 850, the front wings have rusted in the usual place hence the tape, but the rest of the body is rust free bar a few parking dings and a little faded lacquer.
It’s been serviced annually by me, the engine is a peach, sewing machine quiet and the auto box shifts perfectly. Winter, Economy and Sport functions all work as they should, it has 4 mating Riken (Michelin Budget) tyres and the rears are brand new. Passed the MOT and the tester noted how clean it was underneath.
Now the bad bits, on the drive home the ABS light came on, and the fuel gauge has stopped working. Both are an easy fix but I haven’t hard time with work etc. But that’s all that’s wrong with it!”
