Ah the famous Renault 10…!
It’s a 1.3 litre four speed manual and it zips along quite nicely.
Bought by me on a whim at the tail end of summer 2023, it was a bit of a project but I drove it home and then promptly broke down.
A South African import, the roof was badly damaged in transit so that was the first big job to resolve. In my ownership it has had…
- interior stripped, all floors painted
- front boot stripped and painted
- ignition system overhaul – leads, cap, coil, electronic ignition
- oil and filter change
- four new brake calipers (sourced from France)
- four new Toyo tyres
- wheels all powder coated
- roof repaired properly (cost more than £2k to do!)
- funky carpet added in the cabin and boot area (in the front)
- custom made rear parcel shelf, matching carpet
- funky headlining
- and probably more that I’ve forgotten…
