It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… Toys in every store… Except not Hot Wheels, because apparently they’re all stuck in a container ship offshore, and from what I can tell from the multiple diecast collectors groups that I’m a part of, this is a worldwide problem.
Issues that are dramatically affecting humanity aside, the Geoff Buys Cars Christmas Special is now OVER! The SLK took it’s turn in hosting the event, all decked out with Christmas lights and even Santa got strapped into the passenger seat for the action. After an entertaining ramble through your replies to the questions ‘Excited for Christmas / New Year?’ and ‘What’s the highlight of this part of the year?’ and ‘What was the best thing about your 2021?’ it was pretty much concluded unanimously that all my followers are a bunch of season hating miserable old grinches. So at least we have something in common!
When the ramble was over and we finally got down to business, it was Paul Heath’s who switched on the Christmas magic and took first places, despite the fact that he was uncontactable on the night when he’s been involved in virtually every Geoff giveaway since the beginning of time. Bringing up the rear in second place and securing the Saab 9-3 2.0 Turbo aka Fifty Shades of Red was Alastair, who reacted in a more perplexed than overjoyed manner and has since said ‘please send me the details of the car so I can work out if it’s worth collecting it’. Fair enough! Will 50 Shades of Red be making another appearance on the channel? Only time will tell.
Thanks to everyone who took part, that was obviously the very last one, so i’ll see you for the next one on January 29th.
