Terms and Conditions
- The Promoter
The promoter is Geoff Buys Cars (referred to as “the Promoter”).
- The Competition
2.1. These terms and conditions apply to all competitions listed on the website.
2.2. To be in with a chance of winning, participants must register an account and answer a skill-based question correctly when purchasing an entry.
- Eligibility
3.1. The competition is open to residents of Great Britain aged 18 years or over, except employees of the Promoter or their immediate families.
3.2. By entering, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof of eligibility.
- How to Enter
4.1. The competition will run from the “Opening Date” to the “Closing Date” specified on the website or on the product.
4.2. To enter:
Select the competition you wish to enter.
Answer the skill-based question.
Purchase your required number of entries.
4.3. All entries must be submitted in the English language.
4.4. Free Entry Route: To enter for free, send your name, address, date of birth, email address, and phone number on an unenclosed postcard to the Promoter’s registered address. Free entries are treated the same as paid entries.
- The Prize
5.1. The prize is as described on the website (e.g., a specific vehicle).
5.2. No Cash Alternative: There is strictly no cash alternative for the prize. The prize is non-negotiable and non-transferable.
5.3. No Deferral: Winnings cannot be deferred to a later date. The winner must accept the prize as scheduled by the Promoter.
5.4. The Promoter is not responsible for any costs not expressly included in the prize (e.g., insurance, road tax, or fuel).
- Winners
6.1. The decision of the Promoter is final.
6.2. The winner will be selected using a random number generator from all correct entries.
6.3. The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Draw Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the entry.
- Claiming the Prize
7.1. The winner must claim the prize personally. If a winner cannot be contacted or has not claimed their prize within [14] days of the Draw Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant.
7.2. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
- Limitation of Liability
Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize.
- Data Protection
By entering, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the competition entry may be held and used by the Promoter or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition.
- General
10.1. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time.
10.2. These competitions are governed by English Law and entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
