Twas the night before the Christmas Special, and all the Geoffistas were huddled around the camp fire, frantically scrolling on their phones through eBay, Facebook Marketplace and Autotrader to find a booby prize for the big event. We needed something very cheap, and ideally very awful, but all the happy campers were drawing a blank. Nothing was forthcoming, the PT Cruisers were too expensive, the Citroen C3 Pluriels were too far away and no one could find a Vauxhall Tigra within budget. Alas, all was not lost! This beauty was found at a dealer in London, and a phone call was made.
The asking price was £400, but with a little bit of Geoff magic we negotiated at £300 and Paul was once again dispatched to collect the car. The perfect 2nd place booby prize for the Christmas Special!
Driving it back from London, Paul reported the usual amount of knocking from the suspension (like all cheap Saabs) meaning it probably needs a drop link, anti roll bar bush or some other form of cheap fix that no one had bothered to do before… The car made it to Stockport without switching off, because the battery is buggered, but all in all, the £300 Saab far exceeded everyone’s expectations!
Zero points to Paul for his photography skills though… Hopefully more photos are coming!
